A Musical Summer and Spectacular Nature?

Classical music masterclasses in one of the most beautiful cities of Central Europe?

Read on…

The idyllic Ljubljana old town — with its winding rivers and endlessly rich cultural palette — will be the backdrop for the Academy of Music’s summer school ACADEMIA MUSICÆ LABACENSIS. Presented now for the seventh time, the scope of the school has now been significantly broadened. What has remained is our firm commitment to great classical music and the development of students, educators and our dear public.

Dear Guest, Dear Fan of Great Music!

Last year's ACADEMIA MUSICÆ LABACENSIS was a pleasure and a challenge for all those involved in its preparation and realization, proving once again that the virus cannot stop us from conceiving and carrying out events that enrich both the professional and the lay public. Despite the situation, we managed to make International Summer School more than successful, while similar events around the world were mostly canceled. At the same time, we had the opportunity to hear many great festival concerts.

This year, enriched with experience and practiced in overcoming even the most difficult obstacles, we will certainly bring this event to fruition, so important for us and for you, at an even higher level.

In August and September 2021 there will be some time-honored seminars, such as "AML" Strings for violin, viola, cello and chamber music, Guitar Festival, "Poetry through Song" and "Slovak Organ Music" for organ, and two new ones - Opera Performance and Creation, and "Blow Your Mind" for trumpet.

Our summer school is developing, growing and maturing, just like her “mother” academy, where we are already looking forward to the move to the new location in the historic Kazina Palace ...

So - welcome to the seventh edition of the summer school ACADEMIA MUSICÆ LABACENSIS!
