Tadej Kenig is an extraordinary clarinetist whose artistry and passion for music captivate audiences worldwide. With a rich and expressive tone, impeccable technique, and a deep understanding of musical interpretation, he has established himself as a prominent figure in the realm of clarinet performance. He is a principal clarinetst of SNG Opera and ballet Ljubljana, associate professor at the Academy of music in Ljubljana and a guest professor at Academy of music Novi Sad, Serbia.
Tadej's musical journey began at a young age, when he discovered his love for the clarinet. He is alumni of the Academy of music, University in Ljubljana, where he studied with Slavko Goričar and Music academy in Basel Switzerland where he made his “Solistendiplom” with François Benda. Through years of dedicated practice and unwavering commitment, he honed his skills and cultivated a profound connection with his instrument. His playing reflects a seamless fusion of technical precision and emotional depth, captivating listeners with each note he produces.
As a performer, Tadej possesses an innate ability to convey the essence and emotion of a musical composition. His interpretations are characterized by their musical sensitivity, exquisite phrasing, and nuanced dynamics. Whether performing as a soloist or collaborating with other musicians in chamber music settings, he brings a sense of artistry and authenticity to every musical encounter.

He has recorded CDs which have been released in Slovenia, Croatia, Germany and the USA. For his recording of Boulez's Dialogue de l'ombre double, he received a special letter of personal thanks from this compositional giant.
